Human Toys will be sparking a whole lotta much-needed fun across Aotearoa this November.
The only band you're likely to see setting fire to a theremin live on stage, Parisian punks. Described as "somewhere between the Ramones and the Avengers" (John Steed and Emma Peel, not the US box office monstrosity), the duo of Poupée Mecanik and Jon Von's (ex-Rip Offs) 2020 debut album Spin to Win is a maximum energy statement of intent — mixing up garage fuzz overload with spacey electronic solos and a smorgasbord of rockin' lyrical obsessions, on such instantly catchy anthems as 'Plate In My Head', 'Trashman', 'Let's Get High', 'Doomsday Device' and 'Church of Lux'.
